"I am very honored and humbled by the vote of my fellow FAR's in The Sun Conference," said Farchmin. "I appreciate their confidence in my role as the FAR and enjoy working with them in our conference."
Previously, Dr. Farchmin was honored with the NAIA's Wally Schwartz Faculty Athletics Representative of the Year Award for the 2015-16 academic year.

Last but not least, Dr. Farchmin also fills the roles of eligibility chair and Associate Dean of Title IX Compliance at Webber, and is the eligibility chair for The Sun Conference as well.
"We are incredibly fortunate to have Dr. Farchmin as a part of The Sun Conference and she is certainly a deserved honoree to be recognized by her peers with this award," Sun Conference Commissioner Dustin Wilke said. "She has served so many student-athletes not only at Webber International but throughout our conference for a number of years, and we congratulate her on receiving this renowned accolade."
Dr. Farchmin graduated with her doctorate degree from Florida State University in sport administration. Prior to her time at FSU, Dr. Farchmin attended Transylvania University where she competed in both field hockey (three time MVP, one time all-state) and basketball (one time MVP).
Webber's Director of Athletics Mr. Darren Richie said of Farchmin, "Dr. Farchmin's dedication to our student-athletes and staff not only at Webber, but within The Sun Conference over the years has been remarkable. She loves helping others and is the definition of a true servant leader."
Dr. Farchmin will now be put forward by the league into consideration at the NAIA National Awards Day in mid-September.
