Moore to leave Webber cheer program

Babson Park, Fla. (05/05/2020) — After leading the Webber International University cheerleading program to an eighth-place finish at the Universal Cheerleading Association (UCA) College Nationals this past January, Katelyn Moore has announced that she will be stepping down as the head coach of Webber cheerleading to become the new head stunt coach at NCAA Division-II Tiffin University.

Coach Moore was hired on in November of 2018 to restart the cheerleading program at Webber. After recruiting 25 new athletes to the program, Webber's initial season of competitive under Coach Moore started during the fall of 2019 and culminated in the spring when the team made the finals at UCA College Nationals as a first-year program.

"Coach Moore has done a fantastic job in starting a competitive cheer program at Webber," spoke Webber's Director of Athletics Mr. Darren Richie. "She has laid a solid foundation for success in the future, and we want to thank her for her hard work over the last two years."

An announcement on a new coach will be made next week.
