Steinbrenner High School's Matthew Begg signs with Webber men's track & field
Babson Park, Fla. (06/01/2020) — Matthew Begg from George M. Steinbrenner High School has signed with the Webber International University men's track & field team for the upcoming 2020-21 academic year.
From Lutz, Florida, Begg is the second thrower to sign with the Warriors' men's track & field team this week. He holds personal bests of 42.29 meters (138'8") in the javelin, 12.98 meters (42'7") in the shot put and 33.17 meters (108'9") in the discus throw.
Webber's Head Track & Field Coach David Andrews said, "Matthew will make an impact on our team right away. His commitment sures up a throws group that will be really solid for us going into conference. He is coming from a great school, and we are super excited about him."
