Webber International announces hiring of Lindsay Corbett as head cheerleading coach
Babson Park, Fla. (05/12/2020) — Webber International University Director of Athletics, Darren Richie, and the Webber Athletics Department are excited to announce the hiring of new head cheerleading coach Lindsay Corbett.
Before being hired at Webber, Coach Corbett was the Head Cheer & Dance Coach at Auburndale High School, where she has run the cheerleading program since 2013 and the dance program since 2017.
"I am honored and excited to accept the position as the Head Cheerleading Coach at Webber," spoke Corbett. "I am ready to not only take this program to the next level, but to create long lasting traditions, to create a program of unity, and to build strong athletes. We are Webber. Go Warriors."
Coach Corbett's cheerleading teams at Auburndale have been ranked in the state in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018 and in 2019. Most recently in 2020, her team was nationally ranked at UCA Nationals and finished 13th in the nation for "Game Day".
In dance, Coach Corbett has led her team to a top-10 finish at UDA Regionals and a 12th-place finish in the nation in the "Small Jazz" division at the Dance Team Union Nationals.
Webber International University welcomes Coach Corbett to the Warrior family.
