Webber women's soccer announces 2020 recruiting class

Babson Park, Fla. (05/22/2020) — Webber International University Head Women's Soccer Coach Brian Fallon has announced the addition of 12 new ladies to the Webber women's soccer team for the upcoming 2020 season.

Answering the "Battle Cry" from all over the United States of America representing Texas, California, Illinois, and of course the great state of Florida, the 2020 Webber women's soccer signing class brings a great balance of players. Talent on offense, midfield, and defense make this class complete.

Coach Fallon said, "This class has the right balance. We took our time to find the right players on all thirds of the field. We searched far and wide to find players that when combined with our existing previous classes are prepared to answer the call, The Battle Call."

Name: Jennifer Perez

Position: Outside Back

Hometown: Fresno, California

Why Webber: Before signing I already felt like I was a part of the team.

Name: Lexi Friend

Position: Forward/Center Midfield

Hometown: Deland, Florida

Previous Athletic Accomplishments: Runner-up in districts and the most assists.

Awards: Top scorer in basketball, most assists in soccer, and won most athletic for senior superlatives.

Why Webber? Webber is close to my family and friends, and it has my major. The campus is on the smaller side which I love, and the campus is beautiful. The soccer program is great, the girls are friendly, and the coach is fantastic. My parents liked the school which made my decision.

Why Webber? I am a very family oriented person and Webber was not far from home. Also after talking to Coach Brian, our personalities matched and I realized that not only did I have a mentor on the field, but somebody that would push me to be the best version of myself off the field as well.

Why I chose Webber: I chose Webber because I heard great things about the soccer program as well as the school itself with academics. I love the view of the lake from school. Being at Webber has given me a new path to my future career. It has been my best decision to go to this school because I already feel like I was meant to be here.
