Women's beach volleyball announces Fall 2020 recruiting class
Babson Park, Fla. (07/31/2020) — In anticipation for the upcoming 2021 women's beach volleyball season at Webber International University, Head Beach Volleyball Coach Jessica Gehrke-Hauptmann has announced five new additions joining the Warriors in the Fall of 2020.
Gehrke-Hauptmann said, "I am really excited to add these athletes to our beach program this Fall, and we are looking forward to having a great Spring season."
Four of the five newcomers are graduate students outside of the state of Florida while the other is a freshman from Naples, Florida.
"This incoming group is anxious to get on the court to compete and help elevate our program to the next level," added Gehrke-Hauptmann.

Montana Rae Pelak
Incoming Freshman
From: Naples, Florida
High School: Gulf Coast High School
Academic & Athletic Awards: 4.56 GPA, Qualified for Beach Volleyball Junior Olympics and the AVP Junior Championships, Finished second overall for points in Dig the Beach Tournament standings.
Webber Major: Sport Business Management
Future Goals: To own her own business involving beach volleyball and to play on the AVP beach volleyball tour someday.
Looking forward to at Webber: I am looking forward to joining the beach team and playing the sport I love at the college level.
Jazaray Clark-Casto
Incoming Graduate Student
From: Philippi, West Virginia
Previous School: Glenville State College
Academic & Athletic Awards: Chi Beta Phi Member and led Glenville State College volleyball team in hitting percentage for three years.
Webber Major: Sport Business Management MBA
Future Goals: Future career in Sports Physical Therapy
Looking forward to at Webber: I am looking forward to joining the beach program, playing for Coach Jess and enjoying the Florida sunshine.

Future Goals: Working with youth athletes and helping them achieve their athletic goals.

Webber Major: Sport Business Management MBA
Future Goals: To be a clinical psychologist and volleyball coach.

Academic & Athletic Awards: All-Ohio Second-Team as a freshman, 2018 Great Midwest Conference East Division Champions, Two-year Dean's list honoree.
Webber Major: Sport Business Management MBA
Future Goals: I would like to become a sports agent and help other athletes achieve their dream of playing either volleyball or basketball. I am also interested in working for a company such as Nike or Adidas.
Looking forward to at Webber: I am looking forward to forming new friendships with teammates, competing on the beach and continuing my education.
